Business Policy:

Payments: All ads are to be paid for in advance; ad copy and payment must arrive in our office prior to the deadline of the issue the ad will run in.

Returned Checks: an additional fee of $35.00 will be charged for all returned checks.

Credit Cards: At this time we are only taking credit card payments through PayPal. In order to pay for your article or advertising through PayPal, you can make PayPal payments without haveing an account.

Discount Ads: Beginning January 2008, any event or show ads that are to be placed in our magazine, other than our calendar, which is a free service based upon available space, will receive a 5%r discount ad rate. Discount rates on display or business ads are available for multiple runs with a contract. If you do not run your ad for the full number of times originally contracted for, you will be billed at the rate that correlates to the number of times your ad actually ran. Call for details on shows ad rates and multiple runs.

Photos: It is the responsibility of the person submitting professional photos or copyrighted material whether for ads or articles to obtain permission and/or written release from the photographer/owner. Central Florida Horse Connection will not be responsible for obtaining releases and is not responsible for printing any unauthorized material. When possible, please submit your photos via e-mail. Each photo should be sent as a separate jpg, tiff, png, psd, or gif attachment scanned at 300 dpi or above.

Photo return policy: If you submit printed photo(s) and want them returned, please include a self addressed stamped envelope large enough to accommodate your photo(s). Include your name and address on the back of each photo you submit including the appropriate amount of postage for their return. Please do not send irreplaceable prints due to the possibility of loss or damage in the mail or in transit from our office. We are not responsible for lost or damaged photos, but make every effort to assure their safe return.

Classifieds: All ads must be pre-paid by either check, money order or through PayPal invoicing, with ad submission and prior to ad placement or through on-line payment and prior to ad placement unless you have a one year contract.

Subscription: Prepaid by check, money order or PayPal only. Cash only excepted in person.

Deadlines: Be sure all material including ad copy for display and classifieds, any changes to ads currently running, articles, calendar notices and all photos are in our office by the 20th of the month prior to the month the ad will be running. Please submit time sensitive ads or articles at least one month before the event or show Example would be if you have a show or event in March, you should submit it to us for the February magazine.

Digital Ad submission: Central Florida Horse Connection accepts ads sent via e-mail (electronic) or on a CD. Central Florida Horse Connection uses a PC operated platform. The following file formats may be submitted: Tiff, Jpg (Jpeg), Gif, PNG or PSD. Please be sure all jpeg files are 300 dpi or above, otherwise they will not reproduce a quality image. Central Florida Horse Connection does not use any other format types. Please submit your ad in the best quality as possible. Ads can be in Black/White or color as requested. All color ads must be CMYK color or proper color will not come through. Use Photoshop for the color if possible. We do not use Quark or Publisher. Because of the inconsistency with which they are created, we cannot guarantee the quality of ads submitted, especially sent via fax. Atthis time, we will set up your ad to our size and specifications at no additional fee.

Errors in Publication: Since we do not design any ads, we do not proof them. When we receive the ad, we look the ad over for content restriction guidelines, and if we happen to see an error in spelling or something else that we feel you may need to change, we will attempt to notify you either via phone or email, but there is no guarantee that your ad will be proofed for publication. We will not be responsible for any errors in your ad or the publication. Please proof your ad prior to your submission and if you submit an ad and find a correction needs to be made, please notify us prior to the deadline date so we can make those corrections. Any corrections after the deadline date are not guaranteed to be published. The advertiser is responsible for any errors.
